Money Box Services Pty Ltd (“Money Box”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates a financial technology platform providing cashback rewards, digital gift cards, round-up savings, and investment opportunities through our mobile app and website.

We respect your right to privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and relevant AUSTRAC and AML/CTF obligations.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and store your personal information and how you can access or correct it. By using the Money Box platform, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

2. Scope and Application

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Money Box website, mobile application, and digital services, including Money Box Max members and Investors Club participants.

It forms part of the Money Box Legal Suite, which includes the General Terms of Use, Money Box Max Membership Terms, Digital Gift Card Terms, and Investors Club Investment & Risk Disclosure.

By using Money Box, you consent to this Policy.

3. What Personal Information We Collect

Money Box collects personal, transactional, financial, behavioural, and communication data necessary to provide and enhance our services. This includes your name, contact details, identity verification documents, transaction and investment history, payment data, device information, and communications with us.

4. How We Collect Your Information

We collect information directly from you (e.g. registration, purchases, investments), automatically via cookies and analytics, and from third parties (e.g. affiliate networks, payment processors, AFSL partners, and identity verification providers).

5. Why We Collect and Use Personal Information

To deliver cashback, gift cards, and investment services; to verify identity; process payments; communicate updates; personalise offers; manage compliance and fraud; and meet legal, taxation, and AUSTRAC obligations.

6. Disclosure of Personal Information

We disclose personal information to service providers, payment gateways, affiliate partners, AFSL managers, regulators (e.g., AUSTRAC, ASIC, AFCA), and overseas processors where required. Overseas disclosures are limited to trusted providers in the Philippines, India, or the US with equivalent data safeguards.

7. Data Storage and Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to authorised personnel. Multi-factor authentication, secure servers, and periodic security audits protect your data. Breach notifications comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches Scheme.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Personal data is retained for at least seven years to meet AUSTRAC, AML/CTF, and corporate obligations. Upon account closure, data is deleted or de-identified unless legally required to be retained.

9. Access and Correction of Personal Information

You may request access or correction of your data by contacting privacy@moneybox.au. Requests are verified and processed within 30 days. Denials will include written reasons and alternatives.

10. Marketing and Communications

We may send marketing messages about Money Box offers and features. You may opt out at any time via email or app settings. Transactional or compliance messages cannot be opted out of.

Cookies and analytics are used to manage sessions, verify cashback, and improve performance. You can disable cookies through your browser, though this may limit features.

12. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Data may be processed in the Philippines, India, or the United States under confidentiality contracts meeting APP 8 requirements. Data is encrypted during transfer.

13. Children and Sensitive Information

Money Box does not knowingly collect information from persons under 18 or sensitive personal data unless legally required or consented.

14. Complaint Handling

Privacy complaints can be submitted via privacy@moneybox.au or mailed to PO Box 1755, Broadbeach, QLD 4218. Unresolved complaints can be escalated to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

15. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated through our website, app, or email notifications. Continued use signifies acceptance of updates.

16. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and disputes will be resolved in Queensland courts.
